Teatro Regio di Parma, the temple of opera

It is the venue for numerous operatic performances, concerts and ballets throughout the year.

The Teatro Regio di Parma (formerly ‘Nuovo Ducale Teatro’) is the opera house in the city of Parma and is considered one of the most important traditional theatres in Italy thanks to the quality of its productions and the renown of the singers and conductors who have succeeded it over the years.

As pointed out by Lee Marshall of the English Daily Telegraph newspaper, although the Teatro Regio di Parma is not as internationally known as La Scala in Milan or La Fenice in Venice, it is considered by opera lovers to be one of the true representatives of the great Italian opera tradition.

Located in the heart of the old town, it is the venue for numerous operatic performances, concerts and ballets throughout the year.
